FAQ

Questions

What is Daybrush?+

One shared pixel canvas per day on Robinhood Chain. Anyone with a brush paints on it during the day. The next day it is sold as an open edition NFT for 24 hours, and the painters split the sales.

How do I start painting?+

Connect a wallet, get a brush, pick colors and place pixels. Pixels stay as a local sketch until you press Paint, which sends them all in one transaction. You only pay network gas to paint.

What is a brush?+

An NFT you keep. Its strength is how many pixels it can paint on each daily canvas, and it refills every day, forever. Brushes are transferable; pixels already used today stay used.

How do painters get paid?+

Each edition sold sends 90% to that day's painter pool and 10% to the studio. After the 24 hour sale, every painter can claim pool × their pixels ÷ all pixels. Overwriting someone else's pixel still counts as your stroke, as on BasePaint.

When does a day roll over?+

Days follow the chain's clock, 24 hours each, starting from the launch time. The countdown on the site uses chain time, not your device clock.

Can the team take painters' money?+

No. The contract keeps painter pools separate from the studio fee, and only the painter can claim their share. Claims keep working even if painting and minting are paused.

Who chooses the theme and palette?+

The studio schedules a theme and palette for each day ahead of time. It is locked as soon as the first pixel is painted, so nobody can recolor a canvas.

Where do the images come from?+

Pixels live on-chain as events. The site replays them into a crisp PNG that the NFT metadata points to. Anyone can rebuild any canvas from the chain.

Risks

  • ■ The contracts are unaudited. Use amounts you are comfortable losing.
  • ■ Sales are not guaranteed; a canvas with no mints pays nothing.
  • ■ Canvas images are served by this site; the pixel data itself is permanent on-chain.
  • ■ Painting over others is allowed. That is part of the game.
